Vox Stars
Since 2019, I've been part of this creative energy that is Vox Stars. Sisters together, Lainey and Kat work hard every year to create and deliver their Edinburgh Fringe Festival performances for their audiences, and wow do they deliver! I photograph and film it all live as The Space at Venue 9 Niddry Street Edinburgh, gives off the perfect old town contrast to the modern upbeat vibes of this show. I work every show and even their test run to ensure that I accurately record colours, the singing and the vibrancy so that it all shines through via my visuals. It's a wonderful, colourful and vibrant experience and it was an absolute joy to work with them. I can't quite put my finger on it but I know that our values align. The attention to detail this year was superb, so much goes into each performance. The high quality coaching and the sense of community and support is a testament to the dedication that shimmers through them all on stage. Their performances are such an enthralling experience, which brings me such personal joy too, as I love to singalong while working, keeps me happy and always helps to keep me sharp, as well as my photos.
