...but never your mask boy; mesmerising and immersive for the senses...

Reflecting on my time at Usherhall last Wednesday when I was honoured with a pit pass for Underworld's tour for their first night in Edinburgh. I turned up early to enjoy the first set and to prepare for the time only to photograph them on stage performance for their second set of the first three songs. Met the marshals too that were ever so helpful and I am forever grateful for their guidance. So I put my big girl pants on and went for it. Nerves jangling and fueled with adrenaline and remembering everything I've been taught and then some; so I've got some cracking shots if I do say so myself after eight years of practice. Rick was busy creating the sounds and Karl was exceptional and brilliantly mesmerising in some of my shots. True artists. In one, he's clocked me and maybe thought "Oh, you're taking my photo, yeah? Oh ok then!" So thanks for the theatre, the lights and the thumping background of the heady noise of my youth. It was an exciting and exhilarating experience, as I definitely did smile back at you boy, as this was as real as it gets, yet forever visually going forward. Again? Absolutely yes!
